NEW ORLEANS, LA --- The University of Delaware men’s and women’s cross country teams each remained in the top 15 in the second weekly United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mid-Atlantic Regional polls announced this week.
The Delaware women, led by head coach Sue McGrath-Powell, dropped one spot to No. 11 in the Mid-Atlantic Region poll while the Blue Hen men, led by head coach Jim Fischer, dropped three spots to No. 15.
Both Delaware teams were off this past week and continue action this Friday when they take part in the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. The annual meet includes most of the top teams in the East.
Princeton remained at No. 1 in the women’s poll followed by Georgetown, Penn State, West Virginia, Villanova, LaSalle, Bucknell, Penn, Navy, Duquesne, Delaware, American, Pittsburgh, Towson, and Maryland.
Georgetown stayed at No. 1 in the men’s poll followed by Princeton, Villanova, Penn State, Navy, Duquesne, Penn, American, LaSalle, Bucknell, Maryland, Pittsburgh, Lehigh, Loyola, and Delaware.
