NEW ORLEANS -- Both the University of Delaware men’s and women’s cross country teams have been honored by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

A total of 158 women’s teams and 98 men’s teams at the NCAA Division I level and were honored. To be eligible, teams must have a cumulative 3.0 grade point index and have earned points at the NCAA regionals this past fall. The Iona men’s team and Stanford women’s team were each named the Academic Team of the Year.

The Delaware women’s team, led by head coach Sue McGrath-Powell, had 18 team members post a 3.0 or better grade point average for the 2007 fall semester, including perfect 4.0 semesters from Karen Mandrachia, Christine Sloat, and Rachel Schaefer.
