STANTON, DE -- The University of Delaware golf team is tied for sixth place out of 16 teams on Saturday following the first day of the Scotty Duncan Memorial held at White Clay Creek Golf Course.

The Blue Hens shot a 21 over par score of 309 to tie with Navy for sixth place. Iona and Cornell are tied for first at 292, four over par, followed by Bucknell at 298, Pennsylvania at 306, and Drexel at 307.

Kevin McLister is tied for 19th place after shooting 36-40=76, four over par, at the par 72, 6,467-yard course. Britt Murdoch is tied for 26th after he shot a five over par 38-39=77, while Jeff Griest (at right) and Jason Bernstein are each tied for 34th place after shooting 39-39=78, six over par. Colin Smith is tied for 49th place after he shot a 38-42=80 on the tournament’s first day.

Mike Barrow, playing as an individual, is tied for 19th after he shot a 37-39=76, four over par, while Dan Rexon is tied for 26th after he shot a 39-38=77, five over par. Steve Boerner is tied for 75th place after he shot a 13 over par score of 40-45=85.

The tournament concludes on Sunday at the White Clay Creek Golf Course.
