GREENVILLE, NC -- University of Delaware senior Joe McLister (at right) shot a par 72 in both rounds to lead the Blue Hens to a tie for eighth place after the first day of the Bradford Creek Intercollegiate Golf Tournament hosted by East Carolina University Monday at the ECU Golf Course.

Two rounds were played on Monday over the 7,151-yard, par 72 course with the third and final round set to begin Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. The Blue Hens have placed in the top five in three straight tournaments this spring.

McLister, who has placed in the top 10 in two straight tournaments, is currently tied for 21st with a 36-hole score of 144 to lead the Blue Hens. Also for Delaware, Jason Bernstein shot 74-71=145 to tie for 29th, Josh Williamowsky had scores of 74 and 72 to place 33rd at 146, Tommy Ellison shot scores of 79 and a team-low 70 to place 54th at 149, and Jeff Griest is 62nd at 75-76=151.

Adam Gruber of Tennessee State, Nick Nosewicz of Barton, and Tripp Brizendine of East Carolina are tied for the first day lead at 137.
