Finish 6th at Delaware Invitational
HAVRE DE GRACE, MD -- The
University of Delaware golf team finished sixth out of 10
teams at the University of Delaware Golf Invitational
completed Sunday afternoon at Bulle Rock Golf
Club.
With a score of 463, UMBC won the event
that was shortened from 36 holes to 27 after four teams
could not complete play on Saturday due to
darkness.
Cory Sheldon shot a 37 through
nine holes Sunday to finish in a tie for 12th with 117, nine
over par, to lead Delaware. The Blue Hens shot a combined
476 for the invitational.
Temple's Chris Bartolacci won the event
with a 111, three over par.
Delaware will compete Oct. 28-29 in the
Georgetown Invitational at the Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg,
VA
