Dyran Peake will begin his fourth season with the University of Delaware football staff in 2008, assisting defensive coordinator Nick Rapone with the Blue Hen defensive backs. Peake was promoted to cornerbacks coach in April, 2007 and added the title of special teams coordinator in the spring of 2008.
Thanks to a much-improved defense, he led the Blue Hens to another outstanding season in 2007 when Delaware went 11-4 and advanced to the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision title game.
Peake, 29, spent three seasons as a graduate assistant at Duke University before moving on to Cornell for the 2004 season. While at Duke, he worked with the wide receivers during the 2001 season and with the defensive backs during the 2002 and 2003 campaigns.
At Cornell, he worked with the tight ends and H-Backs and served as video coordinator for the Big Red.

In 2004, Cornell went 4-6 overall and placed third in the Ivy League with a mark of 4-3 and ranked second in the league in passing at 217.2 yards per game.
A native of Duncan, SC, Peake is a 2001 graduate of Catawba College in Salisbury, NC with a degree in information systems with a concentration in programming. He was a three-year starter at safety in college, serving as captain as a senior when he earned All-South Atlantic Conference honors.
He led Catawba to two South Atlantic Conference titles and two NCAA II playoff berths in 1999 and 2000 and finished his career with 221 tackles and six interceptions.
Dyran and his wife, Latorsha, reside in Newark with their son, Jayden.
