Former University of Delaware backup quarterback and student assistant coach T.J. DiMuzio returned to his alma mater as running backs coach in April, 2007.
He became wide receivers coach in Feburary, 2008 when offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Kirk Ciarrocca left the staff to take an assistant coach position at Rutgers University. Delaware wide receivers coach Brian Ginn was promoted to offensive coordinator with DiMuzio taking over his duties.
As running backs coach in 2007, DiMuzio, 25, played a big part in Delaware's offense being among the top-rated units in the country. Led by All-American senior running back Omar Cuff, who led the NCAA and set a national record with 39 touchdowns scored, Delaware posted an 11-4 record and advanced to the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivisison national title game.

DiMuzio, a native of Pennington, NJ and a 2006 University of Delaware graduate, returns to the Delaware coaching staff after serving as tights ends coach for head coach Dave Cohen at Hofstra during the 2006 season. DiMuzio served as a student assistant at Delaware during the 2006 season and worked with the Blue Hen linebackers with Cohen. He was hired at Hofstra when Cohen took over the head coaching job in Hempstead, NY in 2006.
An All-State quarterback in football at The Hun School, DiMuzio began his college playing career at Fairfield University where he was a backup for two seasons. He transferred to Delaware and was a member of the Blue Hen squad for two seasons, serving as backup quarterback for the 2003 NCAA I-AA national championship team and for the 2004 NCAA I-AA quarterfinal squad.
Delaware captured the Atlantic 10 Conference title both seasons. He earned his degree in leadership and consumer economics from Delaware in 2006. His father, Tom, was an All-American quarterback at the University of Delaware in 1967-69 and led the Blue Hens to two Lambert Cup Trophy titles and a Middle Atlantic Conference crown.
