High School: Standout wide receiver and defensive back for head coach Brian Beaty at Osbourn Park High School...led team to 9-3 record and a district title last fall...team also went 8-2 his sophomore year...recorded 63 tackles and two interceptions and also returned a fumble for a touchdown in 2005...also caught 37 passes for 511 yards and three touchdowns, returned to punts for touchdowns and two kickoffs for touchdowns...earned first team All- State honors as a defensive back and honorable mention All-State notice as a wide receiver as a senior...named Cedar Run District Defensive Player of the Year in 2005 when he also earned first team notice on both offense and defense..also earned first team all-area honors at wide receiver, punt returner, kick returner, and defensive back...honorable mention All-Met on defense...two-time team captain and team MVP....also a member of school’s track and field team, running 100 meters and competing in long jump and triple jump.

At Delaware: Talented young defender with a great future in the UD defensive secondary...projected to take over starting strong safety spot with graduation of four-year starter Kyle Campbell...will be looked upon to make many of the defensive calls for the Hens...one of top defenders in Blue-White Spring Game in April with six tackles, including one for a loss...could also see action on special teams...changed number to 4 from 48 this season...2006: Contributed on UD defensive unit to earn letter...was one of six true freshmen to see action on the defense during the season...appeared at safety in passing situations and on special teams...appeared in five games and made his collegiate debut vs. Northeastern when injuries forced several newcomers to burn their redshirt year...recorded seven tackle for the season, including five solo stops...had career-high four tackles in collegiate debut vs. Northeastern and added one each vs. Richmond, Towson, and James Madison...team went 5-6 for head coach K.C. Keeler.

Personal: Anthony Eugene Bratton...born Dec. 11, 1987...son of Anthony and Stephanie Bratton...sport management major at Delaware...cousin, Franklin Weaver, played football at Michigan and in the Arena Football League.
