High School Honors: One of the state's top tight ends at nearby Newark High School under head coach Butch Simpson...led Newark to its fifth straight state title and to its 34th straight win in 2001...ranked 50th best tight end in the nation by Rivals.com website...three-time All-Blue Hen Conference selection at tight end...earned honorable mention All-State honors at defensive end as a junior in 2000 and was second team at both tight end and defensive end as a senior in 2001...caught 14 passes for 168 yards and two touchdowns and had 10 tackles for loss as a senior in 2001...earned All-State honors in baseball as a junior and a senior at Newark as a pitcher and first baseman....three-year varsity starter...played in state Blue-Gold High School All-Star baseball game and in Carpenter Cup as a senior...honor roll student...member of Latin Club.

At Delaware: 2003: Tight end with outstanding size and potential...looks to become the Hens' tight end of the future...projected as the No. 4 tight end on squad behind seniors Rick Lavelle and Jesse O'Neill and junior Sean Bleiler...caught one pass for seven yards in the spring game...2002: Left team for personal reasons during pre-season camp in August but returned for spring drills...retained freshman eligibility.
