High School Honors: Competed in football and basketball at Bishop Kelly High School...started for three seasons as a wide receiver, quarterback, and defensive back at Bishop Kelly...three-time All-Southern Idaho Conference selection on both offense and defense...was Idaho state A2 Player of the Year as a junior when he caught 70 passes for 1,800 yards and 19 touchdowns...switched to quarterback as a senior and was named Southern Idaho Conference Offensive Player of the Year while also earning All-State notice as a defensive back...set three state single game records in 1999 when he had 222 yards receiving and caught four touchdowns in the state title game...set 26 school records during his career...played guard in basketball and earned All-State honors as a senior and was a three-time All-SIC selection...basketball team was second in the state his senior year and third his junior year...National Honor Society student. Personal: Joe Edward Bleymaier (Blay-Myer)...born Aug. 9, 1982 in Boise, ID...son of Gene and Danell Bleymaier...father, Gene, is the director of athletics at Boise State University...father played college football at UCLA and two uncles competed in college football at Air Force and Stanford...enjoys snow and water skiing, whitewater rafting, hunting, and fishing in spare time...one of four children...honor student as a business major.
