Numerous Viewing, Listening Options Available for Blue Hens Fans for NCAA Playoff Game vs. Northern Iowa Saturday

NEWARK, DE -- University of Delaware football fans unable to make the trip to Iowa to see the Blue Hens take on top-ranked Northern Iowa in the NCAA Division I Championship Tournament quarterfinals this Saturday will have plenty of options to watch or listen to the game.

The game, matching No. 13 ranked Delaware (9-3) vs. No. 1 ranked and undefeated Northern Iowa (12-0), will be played Saturday at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, IA at 2 p.m. Eastern time. The game is a rematch of the 2003 quarterfinal game played at Delaware Stadium when the Blue Hens posted a dominating 37-7 win on the way to capturing the national title.

The game, which is being produced by ESPN GamePlan with Michael Reghi and Doug Chapman calling the action, will be shown live throughout Delaware and parts of Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey on WHYY Television’s Wider Horizon channel. That channel can be found on 242 on Comcast Digital Cable, on 873 on Verizon Fios, and on 13.2 for specific digital viewers.

In addition to the WHYY, the game can also be seen live on Channel 48 on the University of Delaware Student Television system and on tape delay at midnight Saturday on MASN (Middle Atlantic Sports Network), channel 92 on Comcast Cable systems.

In addition, numerous restaurants and bars in New Castle Country will be airing the game live. Check with specific businesses for schedules.

The game is also being offered as part of the ESPN GamePlan package. For $21.99, fans can see all four NCAA quarterfinal games on a pay-per-view basis. Contact Comcast Cable at 1-800-Comcast to order.

The game will also be broadcast live on the Blue Hen Radio Network on WDSD 94.7 and The River 92.9 throughout Delaware with Mike Corey, Bill Komissaroff, and Glen Frazer calling the action.
