and teamed with All-American Jason Nerys
and fellow juniors Trip DelCampo, Paul
Thomson, and Chris Edwards to form one of
the top units in the Atlantic 10 and lead
Delaware to NCAA I-AA title...offense
ranked ninth in NCAA I-AA in scoring
offense (34.7) and No. 20 in rushing
offense (207.6)...suffered a
career-threatening herniated disc back
injury during pre-season drills in August
and was thought to be lost for the
season...had surgery and made an
impressive comeback, returning to action
vs. Maine Nov. 1 and starting the final
eight games of the season...
2002:
First-year starter offensive
guard...saw action in all 12 games,
starting 11 contests, including one at
left tackle...did not start vs. The
Citadel (knee sprain) but saw
action...paced a unit that helped Delaware
rank third in the Atlantic 10 in rushing
offense (206.2) and allowed just 15 sacks,
second best mark in the league...ranked
No. 4 in 225 lb. bench press (20 times),
No. 6 in power clean lift (300 lbs.) and
No. 7 in squat lift (490 lbs.) in spring
testing...
2001:
Earned first varsity letter as a
backup tackle and guard as a redshirt
