2004:
Former walk-on...third-year member of
the squad...was moved to tight end in
spring drills after spending first two
seasons at Delaware at
linebacker...expected to battle sophomore
Steve Selk and junior Justin LaForgia for
playing time as the Hens try to replace
four-year standouts Rick Lavelle and Jesse
O'Neill who both graduated...could also be
used once again as a blocking back in
short-yardage situations...strongest of
the Hens' tight ends as he posted marks of
345 lbs. in the bench press, 530 lbs. in
the squat lift, and 275 lbs. in the clean
lift in spring testing...caught two passes
for 22 yards, including a 21-yard
reception, in spring game...
2003:
Earned first letter for the Blue
Hens...played in two games, vs. Richmond
and West Chester, as a short-yardage
blocking back, but was slowed by a back
injury and did not play again...posted a
tackle and forced a fumble on special
teams vs. West Chester...recorded two
tackles in spring game...
2002:
Did not see game action and retained
freshman eligibility...
High
School Honors: Football and baseball
standout at New Britain High
School...played football under coaches Len
Corto and Jack Cochran...two-time
All-State selection as a linebacker...led
team to 11-1 record his senior year when
team won state title...two-time
all-conference selection...named to
Hartford Courant All-Area team...played
first base in baseball and earned
all-district honors as a
senior...
