career games with 10 starts and recorded

Played in all 12 games with eight starts
at strong safety for 5-7 team...seventh on
the team in tackles with 33, including 20
solo stops...also forced a fumble and
recovered two others, returning one 48
yards for a touchdown vs.
Stanford...career-high seven tackles each
vs. Washington State and Michigan and had
six other stops vs. Navy and
Syracuse...
2002:
Lettered as a backup at strong
safety...played in 13 games and started
vs. Navy and Rutgers...registered 32
tackles (17 solo)...had season-high
season-high seven tackles and recovered a
fumble vs. Rutgers, added five tackles vs.
Navy, and had four tackles vs. Michigan,
Pittsburgh, and Florida State...had a pass
breakup vs. North Carolina State in the

Played in 11 games as a backup cornerback
and on special teams and recorded four
tackles (all vs. Navy)...was moved to
cornerback during pre-season...

and Houston Chronicle at Kingwood High

MVP in 1999 and also earned all-district
running back honors...earned three letters
in football as running back and
cornerback...rushed school record 220
times for school record 1,516 yards and 18
touchdowns in nine games 1999 when he also
caught 10 passes for 145 yards and one
touchdown...helped Kingwood to eight
victories in 1999 and to league title as
sophomore in 1997...all-district pick at
cornerback as junior in 1998
two-time
all-conference pick who was captain and
team MVP as senior...set school
single-game record with 320 rushing yards
on 14 carries in one game, including five
touchdowns...career totals included 1,756
rushing yards and 22 rushing
touchdowns...nominated for Texas all-star
football game...earned one letter in
track...lived in Denver, CO before moving
to Texas in 1998...
