AMBLER, PA -- Senior righthanded pitcher Todd Ozog pitched his first career complete game and infielder Alex Buchholz had a double, a triple and a home run with three RBI to lead the University of Delaware to a 6-1 win over Temple University Tuesday afternoon at Skip Wilson Field.

Ozog (right) did not allow a run and gave up only four hits over the first eight innings before the Owls got on the board in the ninth. After not having a complete game in their first 39 games of the 2007 season, Ozog tossed Delaware’s second complete game in three games following Chad Kerfoot’s effort on Saturday against William & Mary. Buchholz hitting streak now stands at 14 games.

The Hens 10-game winning streak is their longest in the second half of a season since the 2001 America East champs won 14 in a row. The game also extends the Hens road winning streak to six games.

The Blue Hens (24-18) took a 3-0 lead in the top half of the fourth inning. With Brandon Menchaca on third base and no one out, Buchholz tripled to right center to bring home the first run of the game. Bryan Hagerich then homered to left center for his 15th bomb of the season, giving the Hens a three-run advantage.

Delaware added one in the top of the sixth on Buchholz’ eighth home run of the season. The Hens added two more in the seventh when Ryan Engelhardt scored on a double by Buchholz and Ryan Jablonski came home on a wild pitch.

Temple (17-30) got on the board in the ninth with three singles, but Ozog got a double play ground ball from Mike Kelch to end the game.

Ozog evened his record at 3-3, while Rob Chamra, one of six Temple pitchers, took the loss for the Owls to fall to 0-3.

The Hens return to action tomorrow when they travel to La Salle at 3 p.m.
