LUBBOCK, TX -- University of Delaware senior leftfielder Bryan Hagerich (right) has been named to the Collegiate Baseball Foundation National Honor Roll for the week of April 18, the Collegiate Baseball Foundation announced Wednesday morning.

The honor is the third of the week for Hagerich (Somerset, PA/Somerset), who earlier in the week was named Co-Player of the Week in the Colonial Athletic Association and Co-National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

This week marks the second time Hagerich has been named to Collegiate Baseball Foundation’s weekley honor roll, after being named for the week of May 3, 2005.

Hagerich hit .615 (8-13) with four home runs, nine RBI and six runs scored as the Hens went 4-0 last week, including an abbreviated two-game sweep over conference rival UNC Wilmington. He also walked five times and was hit by a pitch, putting him on base 14 times in 19 plate appearances.

Hagerich hit two home runs against both Delaware State and Rutgers marking three consecutive games with multiple home runs, tying a school record set by Kevin Mench in an America East series against Maine in March of 1998.

For the season, Hagerich is hitting .375 with 13 home runs and 36 RBI. He now has 43 home runs for his career, three behind head coach Jim Sherman for second place in program history. He is also rapidly climbing the all-time lists in games played (194, T-12th), at bats (684, 13th), hits (208, 26th), RBI (156, T-12th), and total bases (425, 6th).

Hagerich and the Blue Hens (14-16, 7-7 CAA) bring a season-best seven-game winning streak into a CAA series at Old Dominion this Friday through Sunday.
