NEWARK, DE -- University of Delaware senior men's golf captain Joe McLister is the Wilmington Trust Best of the Blue Hens Athlete of the Week for the period ending March 26.

The four-year standout and finance major at Delaware, led the Blue Hen golf team to its second top five finish in two outings this spring as UD placed tied for fourth with Yale at the George Washington Invitational held at Bear Trap Dunes GC in Bethany Beach, DE this past weekend.

McLister led Delaware to a team score of 297 the second day, the second best round of the day. He finished seventh individually as he carded a 73 Saturday and followed with an even par 72 on Sunday over the 6,834-yard course to finish at 145 leads team with 74.29 stroke average .

A three-year co-captain and 2006 All-Colonial Athleitc Association performere, McLister has been Delaware's top finisher five times this season and 26 times during his career and has recorded 12 career top 10 finishes.
