NEWARK, DE -- Senior Andrew Zinn, who led the University of Delaware men's swimming and diving team to a win over William & Mary in the team's final regular season dual meet Saturday, has been named the Wilmington Trust Best of the Blue Hens Athlete of the Week for the period ending Feb. 4.

Zinn, who won four events in Delaware's 171-127 win over William & Mary at the Recreation Center/Adair Gymnasium, earned the award for the second time in five weeks after also earning the award on Jan. 7.

The win improved Delaware's record to 11-3 overall and 4-1 in CAA action. The 11 wins match the all-time single-season record, equaling the 1965-66 and 1977-78 squads.

Zinn (at right) once again led the way for Delaware, winning four events including two individual competitions. In the 50-yard freestyle, Zinn broke the pool record after gliding to a time of 20.56. Later, he won the 100-yard event in 46.11 before anchoring the victorious 200-medley and 400-freestyle teams.

Delaware will now use the next few weeks to prepare for the CAA Championships Feb. 27-March 1 at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
