University of Delaware senior women's track and fields sprinter and jumper Asha Quant is the Wilmington Trust Best of the Blue Hens Athlete of the Week for Jan. 29. She is a native of Willingboro, NJ (Holy Cross High School)

Led by two first place finishes by Asha Quant, the University of Delaware women’s indoor track and field team captured the team title at the John Covert Indoor Track and Field Classic hosted by Lehigh University Saturday at Rauch Field House.

The Delaware women took six first place finishes to earn 128 points and outdistance runner-up Towson (92), Saint Joseph’s, Sacred Heart, Lehigh, Moravian, East Stroudsburg, Richard Stockton, and Ursinus in the nine-team field.

Quant won the 60 meters in 7.84 and the 200 meters in 25.63 while also taking third place in the long jump (17-9 1/2) to lead the UD women.
