Vicki
Goettel is a Student Teacher Coordinator, for the neighboring
Pennsylvania school districts, at the University of Delaware.
She completed both her Bachelor of Science degree and master
of Instruction degree at the University of Delaware. Her
professional experience includes teaching fourth and fifth
grades in the Appoquinimink School District. She worked
collaboratively with other teachers to design the district
Social Studies curriculum based on the State Standards.
She is a Teacher Consultant for the Delaware Geographic
Society. She was honored with being named the Teacher of
the Year for Redding Intermediate School and inducted into
the Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. |

Ms.
Ann Jornlin

Ann
Jornlin acts as the lead student teaching center coordinator
for the ETE program and has recently created the Student
Teaching Coordinator Manual. She supervises student teachers
within the Colonial School District, where she has worked
in that capacity since 1981. She conducts training sessions
for cooperating teachers on "Performance Assessment
of Student Teachers: Introduction to Pathwise." She
served as the Project Manager for the New Teacher Mentoring
Program in the Colonial School District, and she was
a
member of Delaware's Task Force to develop the Delaware
Professional Teaching Standards.

Deirdre Lilly

Deirdre
Lilly is the student teaching coordinator for the Red Clay
School District. She supervises the field experience for
Elementary Teacher Education candidates collaborating with
district administrators and teachers. Since 2001, she has
conducted Pathwise evaluation training workshops to cooperating
teachers and other student teaching program supervisors.
She collaborates with other ETE coordinators to structure
the course requirements and guidelines for the ETE student
teaching program. Additionally, she is responsible for planning
and delivery of EDUC 308, Curriculum in the Primary and
Middle Grades. |

Laurie Palmer

Laurie
Palmer is an Instructor in the Southern Delaware Elementary
Teacher Education Program at the University of Delaware/Milford
School District Professional Development School. She teaches
a variety of PDS courses, supervises students in the field,
advises students, and provides professional development
to district teachers. She is a consultant with the Delaware
Writing Project. Laurie earned her
Ed. D. in Curriculum and Instruction at the University
of Delaware. |

Judy
Patton is a National Board Certified Teacher and an instructor
in the University of Delaware/Milford School District Professional
Development School. This unique partnership offers the complete
Elementary Teacher Education program in Southern Delaware,
providing a variable credit program with an emphasis on
increased field experience and reflective practice. Judy
taught in Delaware public schools for thirty-one years and
worked for two years as a UD Student Teaching Coordinator.
As a University of Delaware instructor in the PDS Program,
she teaches courses, supervises and assesses student teachers
(senior interns) in the field, supervises junior interns
in their field placements, advises senior and junior interns,
and provides Pathwise training for senior intern cooperating
teachers. She arranges appropriate placements for junior
and senior interns, provides ongoing support for cooperating
teachers and interns in the field, presents orientations
for junior and senior interns and their cooperating teachers
and facilitates weekly seminars for the seniors. She works
with Milford School District officials and administrators
as well as University of Delaware colleagues to facilitate
effective communication among all participants. |

Betsy
Read is the Student Teacher Coordinator for the University
of Delaware and the Christina School District, which she
has done since January, 1990. She is a member of the Christina
School District Instructional Division where she coordinates
with the curriculum supervisors and Assistant Superintendent
on district initiatives. She has taught or teaches math
methods courses at the University of Delaware: EDUC 335,
Elementary Math Methods, EDUC 336, Middle School Math Methods,
EDUC 667 Methods of Integrating Mathematics and Technology
and the mathematics section of EDUC 308, Integrating Curriculum.
She worked on two projects with the Educational Testing
Service, in 1992 - 1994 as part of the development team
for the Praxis III - Teacher Performance Based Assessment
and in 1994 to develop test items for the NAEP Middle School
Mathematics Assessment. She has developed workshops (e.g.
mathematics, writing, classroom management) and trained
many teachers in the Christina School District and the State
of Delaware. She taught for 15 years as general elementary
educator, a special education teacher, and a secondary mathematics
teacher. Currently she is coordinating the development of
a rubric to evaluate mathematics lesson planning with the
EDUC 335, math methods faculty and EDUC 400 student teaching
coordinators. |

Mary Ann Venturena

Ms.
Venturena began her elementary teaching career (grades 1-6)
in 1973 . Since 1991, she has served as the Student Teacher
Supervisor in the Brandywine School District. She has provided
Pathwise Training for cooperating teachers and clinical
faculty. She has collaborated with other coordinators to
develop inservice and orientation workshops for cooperating
teachers. Her current responsibilities include the administration
of the Delaware New Teacher Mentoring Program in her district
and participation in the Clinical Studies Advisory Group.

Stephanie
Kotch is an Instructor at the University of Delaware and
coordinates the Vertical Model of Field Experience. She
has compiled 15 years of diverse educational experience
that includes Child Care Director, Administrative Director,
Classroom Teacher, Professional Development Instructor,
and Elementary Science Specialist. Her current research
interests include improved field experiences for pre-service
teachers, mentoring support within the student teaching
triad, and preservice conversation groups. |
