This prayer icon is about 8 inches tall and sits on a wood base. It has been painted with gilt to look golden. Prayer figures are sometimes hollow and often contain both prayers and offerings, such as jewels or grain, and are sealed. It is said that some such icons should be opened in a Lamest temple and in such a way that background information inside is not lost. This icon  is related to the Buddhist religion.
