Many pieces of cloisonné can be widely found in China . Modern pieces are made today. This technique of enamelware decoration is thought to have come to China via Byzantine traders or craftsman. During the Ming dynasty, Peking , (now Beijing ) was an important producer of this type of ware in which decorative enamel is applied to metal objects. This vase is now in London ’s Victoria and Albert Museum .
