This belt buckle of gold was made in the second century B.C. It is indicative of the culture with a wealth that rivaled that of Rome . The artist has crafted an image of a bear and tiger devouring a horse. We might ask if this is a reference to marauding nomadic horsemen of that of the area to the north.
