Painting on the ceiling of the cave near the entrance is a marvelous lotus pool abounding with birds, fish, elephants and buffalo. Amidst the pool are three young men who pluck lotus blossoms. Unfortunately it is not known exactly what the artist meant to tell us with these images,which are believed to date from about 850 A.D.
