This exuberant scene is from one of four black and white painted ink scrolls. The first two of this scroll set are of animals, while the others depict caricatures of people. In this scroll, horses birds and cows also cavort in a people-like manner. It is interesting to see animals in cartoon like behaviors from this time period, especially in the Orient.
