Major Coursework

Because you major in one of the social science education programs, you have substantially more course requirements than students majoring in other disciplines. In order to graduate in a timely manner, therefore, you should take particular care when registering each semester. It is especially important to try to select courses that not only fulfill the requirements of the major, but also satisfy one of the College's ABCD Group requirements. For example, if you are required to take elective courses in political science, you should try to register for a political science course that is listed under one of the ABCD categories. The same holds true for any other related work courses that you are selecting. By registering efficiently, you will fulfill requirements for your major as well as the group requirements for the College of Arts and Science.
