ClassroomsFaculty and teaching staff can take advantage of two classrooms that offer Windows and Macintosh multimedia-production computers and a full range of software. You may schedule sessions for classroom teaching, video production exercises, and post-production collaboration. One classroom offers additional flexibility for group work with movable furniture, floor-access panels for power and data, and track lighting for studio work. Reservable cameras, microphones, lighting, and tripods can complement the use of either classroom. When they are not reserved for larger group work, the classrooms are open to individuals or small groups on a first-come-first-served basis. In-class assistance:Through prior arrangement with Student Multimedia Design Center staff, faculty and teaching staff can obtain in-class assistance for presentations on specific topics. Highlights:Classroom A contains 28 Windows computers with a fixed layout. All computers have USB 2.0, FireWire 400 ports, and double-layer DVD burners. Classroom B contains 23 dual-boot (Windows and Macintosh) computers, flexible layout with track lighting. All computers have USB 2.0, FireWire 400 and FireWire 800 ports, double-layer DVD burners, and built-in iSight cameras.
