The McDowell Microcomputing Site is partially funded by the Nursing department and contains special nursing computer-assisted instruction (CAI) programs and interactive videodisc (IVD) programs. The site has Windows98 machines, and standard software packages for word processing, spreadsheet, database, and image manipulation. Access to the University network and the Internet is available from every station.

USAGE POLICY:
This site is equipped for classroom and walk-in use.
The site consists of two rooms: a classroom-style computer lab in room 111 and a smaller outer lab in room 113. Room 111 has 21 computers -- 1 instructor station and 20 student stations. Room 113 has nine student stations.

Faculty should schedule the McDowell Microcomputing Site through the University Scheduling Office or by calling 831-2114.

Students, faculty and staff wishing to reserve time for drop-in use may call the McDowell Microcomputer Site at 831-2262. These dropin reservations will be held for 10 minutes when site is busy.
