Afternoon Topics
  1. School-level Tech Skills Outline: Anita, Lori, Debbie, Gavin, rep from JBM
    • The group created an outline based on a question and answer format that can be used for the 8:30 to 9:30 session in each school.
    • Presenters will be:
      • Clayton - Steve
      • Smyrna - Gavin
      • North - Debbie
      • JBM - Pat
      • HS - Lori, but the topic will be publishing web pages

  2. Software Evaluation: Carrie
    • Based on conversations with principals, the form was accepted as published by Carrie. The only change is that Windows 3.0 and 3.1 will be removed.
    • Carrie will draft a letter to all principals with the following information. Sandy will present this at the monthly meeting of principals.
      • The purpose of the form is for principals and district administrators to make informed decisions on purchasing software with school or district money.
      • The first page should be completed before the purchase to make sure that the software will run on the current computer configurations. This can be completed from information in catalogs or on the Web.
      • The second page should be completed by previewing the software prior to purchase or once it has been purchased. The form should be sent to Dave Brown to create a collection that can be referred to by others considering such purchases.
      • No database will be developed yet but will be revisited at the end of the school year.
