Creating a Template with Dreamweaver
- Any HTML page can serve as a template.
- Prepare the page exactly as you want it.
- Choose File, Save as Template.
- Dreamweaver will save the file in the Template folder that it creates. It will keep track of how the links should be maintained and updated.
- To use the template, just choose File, New. Then click the Template tab to see the templates you've already created. Choose one to serve as the basis of your new page.
- If you later update your template, any page that is based on that page will be updated as well.
