Dreamweaver Training
July 10 - 14, 2006

Developed and delivered by Pat Sine

Welcome to the 5 day class on using Dreamweaver to create accessible, attractive and functional websites.

Owl on a branch representing great wisdom.During this one-week class, participants can start with no experience and leave with the knowledge to create and publish websites. The week will start with participants learning about HTML and creating individual web pages including all of the HTML elements, such as links, pictures, and lots of text. The class will move on to learn about current web development best practices using CSS for design and web accessibility. Other important topics will be forms, website design and management, compliance with web accessibility requirements (Sec. 508), web safety and copyright rules.

This will be a hands-on week so bring your ideas and any text, pictures, sounds or movies in digital format. You’ll find it handy to bring a USB drive to move files back and forth each day. Thursday will be devoted to independent work, individual assistance and problem solving. We will be using Dreamweaver 8, with Dreamweaver MX 2004 also available.
