Vaccines
Travel vaccines are available
at Student Health Service. Vaccine
appointments are scheduled after completion of the Travel Consultation. Vaccines are an additional cost that will be
charged to the student’s or employee’s account.
Vaccines currently not available at SHS are yellow fever, Japanese
encephalitis and rabies. A list of
travel health providers offering these vaccines is available.
Vaccination appointments should be scheduled 2 months
before travel so that there is ample
time to get all the vaccines needed. You
need to have completed all of the immunizations at least two weeks prior to
travel.
Certain countries suggest
tuberculosis testing 3 months after returning from the visit. This can also be done at SHS, for a nominal
fee.
Appointment Information
Travelers receiving medical
care for any reason are reminded to inform their primary care practitioner
about any recent foreign travel, vaccinations, or medications used.
