Highlights About the University of Delaware Student Insurance Plan

University of Delaware Plan Options Overview

The Nationwide Life InsuranceCompany offers two (2) types of plans to University of Delaware students and their dependents.  The medical plans are designed specifically for college students and cover medical expenses not provided by the Student Health Service.

Choose the plan that is best suited to your needs:

Blue Plan    Coverage is provided for inpatient and outpatient facility charges, surgical and anesthesia services, and diagnostic services after a $50 deductible at 80% of the allowable charges up to a maximum of $2,000. Coverage is 100% of allowable charges for amounts over $2,000. The maximum per illness or injury is $50,000.

Blue Gold Plan   This plan offers you all the protection under the Blue Plan above but extends the maximum per illness or injury to $1,000,000.
