A Secure Page
The UD Webmail Direct Login page is secure and encrypts your login information before sending it over the Internet. Items to check to verify if a page is secure are:
- The website address starts with “https” rather than “http”.
- There is a closed Security Padlock icon in the status bar of the browser window.
- When you click the Padlock icon, the information in the pop-up window and on the Details or View tab matches the name of this site.
If the names differ, it is probably a "spoofed" copy of a legitimate site created by those "phishing" for your personal information.
