Copyright Infringement Statistics
Academic Year 2009-2010

This page shows the number of student computers that have been cited for copyright infringement and removed from the University's network in the current academic year. If you are a student, and you violate copyright laws, you:

  1. Receive a Copyright Violation Notice with infringement specifics in your University e-mail account.
  2. Have your network access disabled.
  3. Must complete the Copyright Education course in Sakai.
  4. Must schedule an appointment to have your computer examined by IT-Client Support & Services at a cost of $70 for first-time service and $100 for any subsequent service.
  5. Will have your network access restored upon your completion of the Sakai course and examination of your system by IT-Client Support & Services.
Future incidents of alleged copyright infringement will be referred to the Office of Student Conduct.
