Bridges Program - Eligibility and Program Requirements

Bridges students workingUnderrepresented minority DTCC students who are interested and have the energy and intelligence to pursue biomedical research careers are invited to apply. Students who enter the program will be expected to:

  • Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5.
  • Meet with the program coordinator on a regular basis to discuss academic progress.
  • Register for courses that will allow a seamless transition to a science program at a baccalaureate-degree granting institution.
  • Be willing to participate in research opportunities at UD or intern at local pharmaceutical industries.
  • Participate in enrichment activities at DTCC and UD.
  • For those admitted to UD, continue association with the NUCLEUS program.
  • For those admitted to UD continue participation in undergraduate research with the aim of developing a senior thesis.

  • Completed application for the Bridges Program
  • High School or GED diploma, transcript and two letters of recommendation
