Ally Program

The Allies Program is a network of students that is committed and
trained to act as a safe, non-judgemental, and trustworthy resource for
members of the University of Delaware community who identify as lesbian,
gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning. This will be done by
providing participants with the needed tools and resources to serve as
an Ally.

The objectives of this program will be to:

Create a visible and supportive network for LGBTQ students
Obtain a better understanding of the LGBTQ population and their needs on the University of Delaware campus
Educate potential allies on the issues and needs facing the LGBTQ community
Introduce and explore the resources available to the LGBTQ population
Prepare allies to serve as a resource to LGBTQ students and other allies

Support the LGBTQ community by addressing heterosexism and homophobia

What is an Ally?

An individual who is part of a network of students that is committed and trained to act as a safe, non-judgmental, and trustworthy resource for members of the University of Delaware community who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning.

Workshops

Workshops last 2 hours and begin at 6pm. The workshop dates are:

Sept. 24
Oct. 8
Oct. 22
Nov. 5
Nov. 19

All workshops are from 6pm-8pm in Purnell 228
