I am happy to be a part of the strong community that is the Independence Complex! One aspect of my role that I enjoy most is working with our staff to create welcoming environments in the residence halls and it is my hope that we can build a “home-away-from-home” for our students.
I am a native New Yorker—born in Brooklyn and grew up in Binghamton—and most recently finished a stint as a Bostonian while working at Northeastern University. I earned bachelor’s degrees in English & Textual Studies and Secondary Education and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Syracuse University. I’m a proud “orangewoman” and love talking about campus traditions. Originally planning to become an English teacher, the resident advisor position opened my eyes to a new career path working with college students.
I enjoy consuming pop-culture and have a knack for remembering bits of trivia. Fall is my favorite season for a few reasons—start of the school year, changing leaves, and most importantly, football.
I look forward to being a resource for our residents and having a fun year!
