CHAPTER 12: Resident Student Association (RSA) and National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH)

General Information

Resident Student Association (RSA)

RSA is the University’s government for on-campus students.  As such, they represent the needs of over 7000 residential students.  They are dedicated to improving all aspects of campus life and act as “a voice of the residents” to the administration.  In addition, they sponsor a multitude of student services including linen sales, finals baskets, refrigerator/microwave rentals, The College Kit, carpet sales and more.  They also plan service projects and events open to all students living in residence halls.

An Executive Board of 15 outstanding student leaders oversees the RSA.  They meet weekly with the Inter-Hall Assembly (IHA) comprised of over 40 representatives from residence halls all over campus.

For more information about RSA visit their web site at http://udel.edu/stu-org/rsa/index.htm.

What is NRHH?

The National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) is the recognition branch of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, Inc. (NACURH). NACURH, as an organization, truly believes that recognition is an element of a strong residence hall community. NRHH was created to make sure that outstanding leaders and programs are recognized locally, regionally, and nationally.

NRHH recognizes leaders and programs with their Of-the-Month (OTM) Awards.  Forms can be found online at: http://udel.edu/stu-org/nrhh/.  All nominations must be month specific and focus on residence hall activities.  Monthly winners are forwarded to both the regional and national levels

The membership of NRHH is limited to the top 1% of student leaders on-campus.  Thus, once inducted into NRHH, an individual can consider himself or herself one of the top 1% of on-campus student leaders!

Applications can be found online at: http://udel.edu/stu-org/nrhh/

Please recognize student leaders this year by submitting OTMs and encouraging people to apply for membership!
