Green Team of the Year

 


Who Does This Award Recognize?

This award recognizes a Green Team that has best accomplished its stated goals/mission. The nomination letter should include the Green Team’s goals and mission and provide detailed examples of: member or resident involvement in achieving goals; benefits of the Green Team’s actions for the complex; the Green Team’s group coherence; the Green Team’s participation in or support of Residence Life & Housing and/or University activities; member testimonials regarding above descriptors and/or how their experience in the organization has made a difference in their life; and staff testimonials. Specifically, nominations should focus on the Green Team’s efforts to promote sustainability and green initiatives within their complex and at the University.

Nominators:

Any person or group at the University of Delaware may write a nomination. Nominations for this award may be staff-initiated but Green Team members and residence hall students must be included in the nomination process. Self-nominations are encouraged.

Nominations Must Include:

  • A nomination statement summarizing the scope and impact of the Green Team on the residential and campus communities (see above description for more information). Maximum 3 page nomination letter. Nominations may range anywhere from 350 to 800 words in length.
