Who Does This Award Recognize?

This award recognizes a community-service oriented program of the academic year which was developed and executed primarily by residence hall students. The nomination should demonstrate how the community-service oriented program or initiative has made an impact on a service agency/philanthropic benefactor, as well as how the project/initiative has influenced the participating residents to serve the local or University community in meaningful ways. Nominations can include Service Team events and programs.

Nominators:

Any person or group at the University of Delaware may write a nomination. Nominations for this award may be staff-initiated but residence hall students must have been primarily involved in the planning, execution, and participation of the program/initiative. Self-nominations are also encouraged.

Nominations Must Include:

  • A nomination statement summarizing the scope and impact of the community-service oriented program/initiative. Nominations may range anywhere from 350 to 800 words in length.
