UNIV320: Guest Lecture OpportunitiesEach fall and spring we facilitate the one credit UNIV 320 course for new Resident Assistants (RAs). This course has been developed to allow RAs to learn more about themselves in the areas of community, citizenship, and leadership and then integrate this new knowledge into their role as a Resident Assistant. During the Fall Semester, the course is held on Mondays from 3:30 - 5:30 pm. During the first hour, the class meets in a large lecture format with approximately 100 students in attendance. The second hour involves dividing the class into smaller groups for small group discussion. In the Spring Semester, the meeting time and course structure varies. We are committed to involving faculty members in the Resident Assistant course. We find that this allows our students to gain an academically focused perspective on a topic and leads naturally into our small group discussions. It also provides RAs with faculty connections that they may be able to build upon and share with their residents. For more information about UNIV 320, the Resident Assistant Class, visit the RA Class website. If you are interested in presenting a lecture that you feel may benefit our staff, please contact Jim Tweedy at either (302) 831-1201 or tweedy@udel.edu
