Associate in Arts Students: Living on Campus

Welcome to the Newark Campus; we are excited to have you join us!  Associate in Arts students are housed in the same locations as other upper division students and can live in:

  • Christiana Towers - apartment style living
  • Independence Complex - suite style living and home to the Associate in Arts Bridge Community
  • Ray Street - suite style living
  • Central Complex - traditional style residential area in the heart of campus

Associate in Arts Bridge Community

Associate in Arts students who choose to live on campus have the option to live in our Bridge Community located in the Independence Complex on Laird Campus. The Bridge Community offers Associate in Arts students an opportunity to engage with other residential students and to quickly get involved with all that the Newark campus has to offer. Students living in this community have an advantage from the day they move in because not only will they quickly meet other students, they are part of a unique community which provides additional programming and leadership opportunities. The Independence complex offers suite style living, large lounge spaces on each floor and a dedicated Residence Life staff to provide support and assistance to all students.  Located on Laird campus, Independence complex is located adjacent to Pencader dining hall and the P.O.D. market.

Other Ways to Get Involved

In addition to the Bridge Community there are many other opportunities to get involved while living on campus. Each residential complex offers a Complex Community Council which provides leadership opportunities and gives students the opportunity to make suggestions and changes for their complex.  We also have Green Teams which are open to any student interested in learning more about how to reduce our impact on the environment.  Additionally, with over 200 Registered Student Organizations, there is always something going on around campus.
