Welcome to the UD Residence Life Environmental Sustainability website!  We are glad that you are interested in learning more about our residence hall initiatives and leadership opportunities. We hope, after exploring this website, you will want to get involved in our efforts! 

Since the formation of the University of Delaware Sustainability Task Force in 2006 and reinvigorated by President Harker’s signing of the Climate Action Plan in 2009 the University of Delaware has been very serious about going far beyond a mere perception of environmental sustainability and has developed an incredible array of initiatives in a short period of time. Although UD has continuously produced scientific breakthroughs in solar, fuel cell, clothing, agriculture, water, and policy research that impact practices around the globe, our current institutional leaders continue to make environmental sustainability a priority throughout all corners and facets of UD, including Residence Life.
