Whenever possible, the University accepts prior
course work toward an undergraduate degree. A Transfer Credit Equivalency Search is available that shows how courses from across the country will transfer to UD. The application includes all the school/colleges to date that are currently in the UDSIS Transfer Credit Equivalency Search . Courses not listed in the matrix will need to be evaluated on a course-by-course basis, provided the course was college-level and the student received a letter grade of C or better. Once approved for transfer, these additional courses will be added to the Matrix for future reference. Courses taken more than seven calendar
years earlier may be reviewed for applicability, and individual
departments may require repetition of "outdated" courses.
Students enrolled at the University of Delaware who wish to complete course work for credit at another institution should complete a Transfer of Credit Evaluation (TCE) form, available from the Student Services Building. Students may check the UDSIS Transfer Credit Equivalency Search to see if the course(s) they would be interested in transferring is/are listed in the matrix. Courses listed in the matrix transfer as indicated, provided the student services dean of the student’s college signs off on the form. Courses not listed in the UDSIS Transfer Credit Equivalency Search need to be approved for transfer by the department offering the University’s equivalent course and from the dean of the student’s college, before beginning such courses. Credits and quality points for work completed elsewhere will not be included in the student’s University of Delaware cumulative grade-point index.
