The purpose of the Paintball Club is to give students the opportunity to play tournament paintball at a competitive collegiate level, with the ultimate goal to win NCPA Nationals!
Most of the clubs meetings are held at the field after practice but we do hold an interest meeting at the beginning of each semester after the activities fair.
Anyone who has their own paintball equipment is permitted to play on the team. The are no tryouts.
The University of Delaware Paintball club practices at OXCC (Outdoor Xtreme Chesapeake City) which is located in Chesapeake City, Maryland. It's only a 25 minute drive away from the main campus. The club tries to meet on the first three Sundays of every month, but this often changes due to tournaments and/or weather. Transportation depends on practice attendance, but carpooling is the most common.
National Collegiate Paintball Association (NCPA) - Class AA
To be an active member in the club one must come to at least one practice a month, however practice attendance is necessary for securing positions on competing tournament lines.
To be in the club you are required to have all the necessary gear to play paintball (mask, hopper, marker and tank). All field gear is provided by OXCC.
For students that don't have their own paintball gear:
The team will organize a trip to the paintball field at least once each semester for non-club members at discounted prices.
