MEN'S CLUB ULTIMATE FRISBEE TAKES MARYLAND ROOKIE TOURNEY

Men's Club Ultimate Frisbee attended University of Maryland's Rookie Tournament, October 1st and 2nd. This tournament is meant for new players gain experience by playing against other teams. Delaware split into two different team, Delaware Blue and Delaware Gold. Delaware Blue dominated every game on Saturday making it to the Championship Bracket with a first round bye (the games are to 13 points and the most points they gave up in one game was 5). Delaware Gold also had a lot of success, they won 3 straight games after dropping their first pool play game. Delaware Gold dominated in their first round game to set up a Delaware Blue vs. Delaware Gold quarterfinals matchup. But Delaware Blue picked up right where they left off and beat Delaware Gold 13-5. Delaware Blue then cruised through the rest of the tournament eventually winning the whole thing. In the process they beat teams from Towson, Maryland, George Washington and other mid-atlantic schools. Delaware Gold went on to win the rest of their consolation games finishing with a solid record of 6-2.
