UD MIH Heads to Nationals with High Hopes

The University of Delaware men's hockey team will travel to Cleveland, Ohio, Friday as they will play in the ACHA National Tournamentbeginning on Saturday. The Hens are seeded #3 and have a first round bye.Delaware will face the winner of Friday's Davenport/Drexel game on Saturday at 2PM. The Hens travel to Cleveland after completing an impressive regular seasonand finishing with a record of 30-2-1 and winning the ESCHL regular season title.

The Hens, however, know that plenty of work is left to bedone "We haven't accomplished anything yet. Ever since we lost to Lindenwood inthe final 4 last year, our goalwas to win our last game this season," senior Dave Conte said. Senior Josh Weiner added, "We've had agood run so far this year, but once you get to the tournament, everyone starts fresh. If we are playing our best hockey, we truly feel no one can beat us."

After reaching the final 4 last year, the Hens certainlyknow what it takes to go deep in the ACHA National Tournament "I think the experience from last year should help a bit. We definitely know that we don't wantto feel the way we did after that Lindenwood game. We let an opportunity slipaway last year and we are going to do everything we can to make sure that doesn't happen again," senior Andre Menard said. "I think last year, we were sort ofjust happy to get to the Final 4. We weren't really sure just how good we were. This year is different, we are going to Cleveland to win this thing."
