The Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and International Programs has oversight of the Center for International Studies , University Studies and Academic Enrichment , the Honors Program , the Office of Undergraduate Research and Service Learning , the Office of Educational Assessment , the Center for Teaching Effectiveness , and the Faculty Senate . The Vice Provost is the convener of the Assistant and Associate Deans' Council and coordinates multiple University-wide academic committees and functions, including the Permanent Status Program Reviews and the chairs' and faculty workshops. The Vice Provost coordinates the University's Academic Program Review process as well as University-wide academic planning and assessment initiatives. In addition, the Vice Provost coordinates articulation agreements with other institutions nationwide, including the Academic Common Market , and is responsible for overseeing strategic global partnerships and initiatives. The Vice Provost also co-chairs the Academic and Student Affairs Council and participates in the President's Deans Council, the Provost Executive Committee, the Chairs' Caucus Steering Committee, the Faculty Senate Executive Committee, and the President's Commission to Promote Racial and Cultural Diversity.
