COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE
AFRICAN STUDIES
The African Studies Minor has been designed to provide an intellectually
coherent program of study based upon regularly offered courses in the fields
of African history and culture, as well as anthropology.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MINOR IN AFRICAN STUDIES
Eighteen credit hours drawn from the list of courses below. 12
credit hours must be from courses that deal with Africa proper. (Students
must consult with the program coordinator on making their selection of
courses. It should be noted that not all courses are offered every semester.)
